Date: Thursday, 10 September 2026 This course has been developed to improve emergency preparedness in robotic-assisted surgery through a combination of evidence-based education, immersive simulation, and multidisciplinary team training. Included within the HOT course is an accredited online course on non-technical skills in robotic-assisted surgery, together with a narrated pre-course presentation introducing the programme, its objectives, and the principles of safe simulation. The simulation day consists of a fully immersive multidisciplinary team exercise involving surgeons, anaesthetists, nursing staff, bedside assistants, and other operating theatre professionals. The programme is delivered by an expert faculty including robotic surgery specialists, simulation experts, trained assessors, and experts in communication and debriefing. Participants will manage realistic robotic surgical emergencies based on events reported in the literature, requiring the application of both technical and non-technical skills within the constraints of the robotic operating theatre. Participants will be assessed on emergency management, decision-making, and key non-technical skills. Structured debriefings provide a psychologically safe environment to reflect on performance, identify learning opportunities, and explore strategies to improve patient safety. In addition to enhancing emergency preparedness, the course provides participants with practical insight into the design and delivery of simulation-based training. Participants will leave not only with enhanced competence in managing robotic surgical emergencies, but also with a practical understanding of how to design, implement, and sustain simulation-based robotic emergency training programmes within their own organisations. If you wish to register for this course please send an e-mail to: registrations@congressconsultants.com or register through the online registration system. The registration fee including VAT is € 50 Registration for the HOT Course is now open.Robotic Emergency Simulation Programme
